Emeralds reviews may be short, but I promise you they are just as sweet has usual.
Hello there, due to certain deadline schedules and unexpected events… [i.e final exams and Dark Knight Rises 10 minute secret screening] These reviews are going to be short but sweet. 6th place: SpongeBob comics #6 This book was requested to be reviewed, and to be honest this was the most mind numbing book I've ever read. This book felt as if the issue was nothing but an episode that never made it on air, but hey! It was better than half the garbage Marvel put out this week. 5th place: Magneto not a Hero # 2 of 4 This issue brought back what people wanted to see for a while, and that was Erick's clone. Although the clone’s intentions are not yet clear, this book has the potential for something good. 4th place: Avengers X-Sanction # 1 if 4 Cable is back! And he's taking no prisoners, and playing for all the marbles and ready to kick some serious ass! Though it comes at the expense of the Avengers, this book can and will have extreme ramifications on what's to come for Marvel in 2012. The real reason it made the countdown is that they actually bothered to tell how Nathaniel Summers came back and why. 3rd place: Deathstroke #4 Two things: 1. There is a Bret Farve reference. 2. It’s “bad assery” at its best. 2nd place: Batman and Robin #4 This book was as solid as it gets! Although the father and son dynamic duo is not doing so well, this book has a knack for playing on the heartstrings of people. This would have been the book of the week if it weren't for the next book. 1st place: Green Lantern #4 This book was balls to the wall amazing! And what made it so was the fact that Sinestro pulled a trick out of *black hand's (blackest night) playbook. The question is… At what cost, and was it worth it? *(Editors Publisher's note He pukes) These were the books that misled my toes for the week of December 14, 2011. As always please leave the love, hate, and death threats in the comment section B-LOOOOWW ME!!! This has been the Emerald Speedster and until next time… DEUCES!!! |
